What Is DTF Printing & How Does It Work?

  Direct To Film (DTF) is a printing method that differs from DTG. After printing a film transfer with a specific type of water-based ink and drying it, powdered glue is applied to the back and heat cured, prepared for storage or immediate use.  One of the benefits of DTF is that zero pre-treatment is required since powdered glue cares about it. In just 15 seconds after being heat pressed, the soft water-based ink is transmitted to the fabric. The transfer works best on polyester and other non-cotton textiles that are tough to print with typical DTG printing techniques.
